The Quantum Age is a six-issue miniseries written by Jeff Lemire and illustrated by Wilfredo Torres, set in the 22nd Century.

Synopsis[]

Part One[]

One hundred years in the future, a collection of superheroes, inspired by the legendary heroes of Black Hammer Farm, must band together to save the planet from an authoritarian regime. A young Martian must find a way to reform the Quantum League to save the world while solving the riddle of what happened to the great heroes of the twentieth century.

Part Two[]

A rogue Martian joins forces with the down-and-out heroes of the Quantum League only to find themselves on the run from powerful, oppressive militia forces. Shocking events come to light from both the Martian's past and the Leaguers ties to the heroes of Black Hammer farm.

Part Three[]

Our heroes' origins are revealed as team leader Archive V takes us from his technological birth to the breakup of the League, and a Black Hammer favorite makes a shocking return!

Part Four[]

With their original plan seemingly foiled, the current rag tagteam of Quantum Leaguers travels to a mysterious land and discovers a long forgotten foe with crucial ties to the Black Hammer series.

Part Five[]

A journey through time via the Para-Zone leads our heroes to confront crucial characters from the Black Hammer-verse!

Part Six[]

The newly formed Quantum League set out for one final confrontation with the ruthless dictator of Earth. Meanwhile, two Black Hammer favorites reflect on their past, as the future is suddenly uncertain!

Publication history[]

The series was originally set in 3041 with flashbacks to 3016, but these dates were revised in issue #4 to collapse the series from a thousand years in the future to one hundred and twenty-five years (one hundred years for flashbacks).

Trade Paperback Revisions[]

For the trade, the 3041 date was changed to "one hundred and twenty-five years from now" with no exact dates specified. Additionally, various character names were changed:
